Overview
As part of Apple's production design team, I developed new visual Keynote and Pages templates that streamlined content creation. The templates allowed teams to communicate ideas clearly without compromising Apple's high design standards.
The Challenge
Multiple teams needed presentation and document templates that were easy to use while remaining visually consistent across a wide range of business communications. Existing materials lacked standardization, resulting in inconsistent layouts and unnecessary design effort.
The goal was to create a scalable template system that anyone could use while preserving Apple's minimalist design aesthetic.
My Role
Designed new Keynote presentation templates
Developed Pages document templates
Established layout and visual hierarchy standards
Organized master slides for flexible content creation
Collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders
Ensured production quality across Apple devices
Process
I studied Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and existing communication materials to understand how typography, spacing, imagery, and white space contribute to Apple's visual identity.
Building the Template System
Instead of designing individual slides, I created a modular system that could support a variety of presentation needs.
The system included:
Title slides
Section dividers
Image layouts
Data visualization slides
Timeline layouts
Comparison slides
Quote slides
Closing slides
Master Slides
Each layout was built using master slides to ensure consistency while allowing teams to update content quickly.
Features included:
Placeholder text
Image containers
Auto-align grids
Consistent margins
Typography hierarchy
Brand-safe color styles
Pages Templates
Alongside presentations, I designed Pages templates for:
Project briefs
Meeting notes
Reports
One-pagers
These templates mirrored the presentation system to create a unified visual experience across documents.
Final Deliverables
Executive presentations
Product strategy slides
Pages documents
Master layouts
MacBook and iPad mockups
Results
Delivered a new presentation system that reduced repetitive design work and improved consistency across presentations and documents.
Enabled teams to create polished materials using structured templates rather than designing slides from scratch.
Helped maintain a cohesive visual identity across internal communications by establishing scalable layouts and master templates.
Supported efficient collaboration through standardized design components and production-ready files.
